Lots of people like the idea of linking their stove to the heating system by using a Boiler Stove. This is an expensive and complex plumbing arrangement and is rarely worth the expense and trouble. You can turn an efficient Combi Heating System into an inefficient system with hot water storage. You lose the flexibility of being able to use the stove for a few hours on a chilly evening without heating radiators and the whole house. A Boiler Stove will not make you warm until it has heated the water. Plus you need a bigger Stove as it has to heat the room plus heat water and that means more fuel.
There are occasions where such a system will be worthwhile. These require the Stove to be run 24/7 and a free supply of fuel. Farmers and people who are at home all day are the most likely people to benefit from this system. But very few others will.
Think of a Wood Burning or Multi-Fuel Stove as the warm heart of your home assisted when necessary with an efficient heating system.
