I want to talk to you about lighting gas fires. Many gas fires have been like this one over the years. The control is down at the bottom of the fire you have to move the ashpan cover out of the way, push, click and hold for a few seconds and then release to light the gas fire. This fire’s not connected to any gas, but that is how these ones light.
It doesn’t have to be like that anymore.
The E Button Control Gas Fire
This gas fire has nice high level button controls. These controls are just on the of the frame. It’s like clicking a pen. You just push it in and hold, and slowly but surely the gas fire lights. There’s no crawling on the floor, there’s no getting down on your knees. You can turn it up and you can turn it down all with just the push of a button. These controls work by battery power so your fire will still work in a power cut.
The Remote Control Gas Fire
The fire that we’ve got here is a full remote control gas fire and it all works from the hand set, from your arm chair. You just press the button and the fire goes through its own ignition sequence and lights itself, all by itself. And it works by battery not mains, so it works in a power cut as with the e button fire.
So where over the years you’ve had to get down on the floor to light your gas fire, there’s no need to worry about that anymore. Now we can do nice easy controls to make it easy for yourself or other people to light the fire.
Some of the different gas fires come with different remote controls. Some have a permanent pilot light and again are very easy to light just with a remote control. So you have no excuses for not using your gas fire now. You can light them any way you want. From your armchair, standing up or getting on the floor.
So you’ve lit your gas fires by the buttons or the remotes, they’re roaring away nicely. You can also turn them down with the remote. You can turn it right down low or you can turn it off. Different fires have different remotes, but they do the same thing. Just turn it down, this one you just keep turning it down and it’ll go off.
With the E button fire we just press the bottom button which again is just like clicking a biro it’s that easy. And the fires are off.
Wonderful ways to light gas fires.
