Once again Cumbria and Southwest Scotland have been the victim of widespread power cuts as a result of the recent Snow and Gales. It is not surprising really considering the rural nature and geography of our area. But what can we do about it? Move to somewhere with better weather? It’s not very green in Dubai.
Most of the people in our area have already got it sorted.
Stoves……
Wood Burning and Multi Fuel Stoves work in a power cut and gives you loads of heat.
Gas Fires – Gas Stoves………….
Well there not as reliable as a log, but they don’t turn the Gas off.
You don’t have Gas?
Well, you can if you want with Bottled Gas LPG. Most of our Gas Fires and Stoves come with LPG Versions. So no excuses.
What about your dinner?
Well, you can cook on a Stove but you might want a tin of Stove Paint off my shelf afterwards to make it look good again.
Cooking on a Gas Fire. Not very easy, but with a bit of patience, you can do some toast.
So no need to worry about Power Cuts anymore.
